Architecture and executed projects
Over the past nearly 30 years, we have carried out architectural projects using clean materials that do not deplete the environment, such as rammed earth (raw earth compacted into sealed wooden molds), treated bamboo, and new residual materials shredded and pressed with plant-based polyol, an innovative technique developed by our team.
We have built homes, temples, schools, and created sculptures in various regions of Brazil. Additionally, we have trained the people involved, aiming to multiply and keep our techniques alive. Explore our project gallery below.
Conceptual and Ideal Projects
We have undertaken various Conceptual and Ideal projects, such as organifying parks, the award-winning Verdura Houses, sustainability portals, museums, schools, and interventions in existing buildings, including the Rio Cathedral, installations on the Tietê River, and at Tom Jobim Passage and Parque Augusta. Learn more about these projects by accessing the gallery below.
Eco Sustainable Sanctuaries
The Verdever Association / Curadores da Terra owns two preservation areas where projects and installations are conceptualized, developed, and experienced. These areas also host services such as ecotourism and eco-lodging.
The first property, Fazenda Arunachala, is located in the heart of the Mantiqueira Mountains in Minas Gerais, a mountainous Atlantic Forest region rich in hydromineral resources, offering vast opportunities for ecological tourism, mountaineering, and climbing.
The second property, Aguazuis, is situated near the Serra do Mar, one of the richest natural areas along Brazil's coastline, home to the country's greatest underwater marine biodiversity.
These incomparable treasures are preserved amidst the most densely populated regions of Brazil—São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais.
Aguazuis
Arunachala
Fazenda Arunachala is located in Itamonte, Minas Gerais, nestled within three interconnected valleys. It is a large property spanning 54 alqueires (132.2 hectares) and has provided employment for local residents over the past decades, supporting subsistence farming.
Currently, the farm focuses on organic agriculture, cultivating red fruits, vegetable gardens, honey, bamboo, and coffee. It is home to numerous valuable timber trees, such as jacaranda, cedar, candeias, araucarias, and various pines. Additionally, we are planting olive trees and lavender for the production of oils, perfumes, and essential oils.
The farm is located within the buffer zone of the MONA (Nature Monument), a recently established municipal conservation area, emphasizing the 3 A's—Art + Architecture = Sustainable Environments.
Aguazuis is located in the Almada neighborhood, 36 kilometers from Ubatuba in the northern region (an area with significant environmental preservation efforts) and 36 kilometers from Paraty, two important coastal cities at the convergence of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro states.
This small property, spanning 4 alqueires (approximately 9 hectares), preserves native plantations such as juçara, bananas, peach palms, various fruits, vegetable gardens, and some timber species like mahogany and ipê. All constructions are built using eco-friendly materials that do not harm the environment.
Aguazuis is situated adjacent to the Serra do Mar State Park, in the heart of the Atlantic Forest—the world's largest longitudinal forest, now with only 7% of its original area preserved.
